Lemon Lavender Cake Recipe

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F/175 C. Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, sift together the cake flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, sugar, eggs, lemon zest, lavender and lemon juice until combined. Add the buttermilk and vanilla extract and whisk until combined.
Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until just combined. Do not over mix.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, serve with a dollop of freshly whipped cream or a drizzle of lemon glaze. Enjoy!
