Ingredients
- 175g/6oz self-raising flour
- 175g/6oz butter, softened
- 175g/6oz caster sugar
- 3 large eggs

Instructions
Preheat oven to 180C/160C Fan/Gas 4. Grease and line a 20cm/8in round cake tin.

Stir in the remaining flour, then the walnuts. Gradually add the milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency.
Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and level the surface. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the cake is golden brown and the top springs back when lightly pressed. Leave to cool in the tin.
When the cake is cool, remove from the tin and serve.
